NEW: Health and life benefits of a perfect nutrition
Good nutrition is the basis for health . This is not just a topical phrase, that we say to seem intelligent, it is just one of nature's laws.
Your body is made up of cells, liquids and substances that are made of proteins, fats and carbohydrates, plus minerals and vitamins. The same way that a cake is made of those ingredients too: eggs are the proteins, butter the fats, and flour and sugar the carbohydrates. Minerals and vitamins are the spices and baking powder.
Do you know what happens when you use bad quality ingredients to make a cake? Well, that it doesn't come out nice and it doesn't taste nice, it is not healthy. Imagine we make the right mixture, but we don't put spices and baking powder. What do we get? Not a cake, maybe a tasteless hard cookie.
Well, the same happens to our bodies. If we put bad proteins, bad fats and bad carbohydrates into us, what we get is a bad quality body. If you eat good quality food, with enough vitamins and minerals, then you get good quality muscles and bones, skin and teeth, hormones and neurotransmitters.
But not only the quality is important, the relative proportions too are essential. Imagine that one day we decide to make a cake with one egg instead of two, and we put double the sugar and double the flour, and no fat. What will we get? Well, not a really good cake, if we get a cake at all. We may get something similar to a dry giant cookie.
Well, many diets nowadays that we eat are like this. We eat too much sugar, or too much flour, and refined besides, so that we make sure that there are no vitamins and minerals left there. Or we eat proteins and fat in a nice barbecue, with some refined flour too. In this cases we are eating too much of one or two ingredients, and too little of the others.
What is a good diet then? The perfect nutrition provides our bodies with excellent quality and enough quantities of proteins, fats (yes, fats too!) and carbohydrates, plus vitamins, minerals and enzymes, so that we can rebuild and maintain our bodies in a perfect health state.
Good nutrition makes our bodies be in perfect shape:
Bones and muscles working properly
Blood, lymph and other body liquids circulating properly, carrying oxygen to all parts (cells) and carrying wastes away from them
Organs working in good order, so digestion is good, nutrients are absorbed and carried to the right places, and wastes elimination work accurately
Nerves and brain working at their full potential, therefore we are alert and happy, thinking clearly and focused
We are healthy, feel rested and energetic in the morning and ready to rest happily in the evening
We feel good, in body and mind
Good nutrition is good for your mind. Our mind is a very complex and delicate living computer, it needs really first quality ingredients, with the right quality and at the right moment to work at peak performance. Our brain needs glucose as its main fuel, and certain amino acids (simple molecules that make up proteins) like tryptophan to make the right neurotransmitters. If we don't have enough glucose, we feel slow and we cannot process information, we cannot think. We cannot perform other activities as well, like many unconscious or automatic activities that keep us alive, like breathing, feeling thirst or hunger, being conscious of dangers and many others. Our brain keeps us alive.
If we don't have enough amino acids, our brain cannot make enough neurotransmitters, which the tiny molecules that make cells to communicate between each other, and that make nervous impulses to travel through our nervous system. That means that we get depressed, slow, non-reactive, emotional, irrational and many other characteristics that define mental illnesses. The same happens when we don't get in our diets enough vitamins, as our brains cannot make up the right molecules. An example is stress, which depletes our organism of vitamins, specially group B vitamins, which are needed to make neurotransmitters. And after a long stress period, we may feel always tired, sad and unable to think clearly (amongst other symptoms).
Good nutrition maintains your immune system ready to fight pathogens . Vitamin C is amongst the most known vitamins. One of its roles is to keep our immune system working properly. When the immune system is healthy, we don't get ill and we don't have pains. As simple as that. There are several other substances that we need to have in our diets to maintain our immune system. One of those is good fats like omega-3 and 6 fats. These are found in seeds, nuts and fish, mainly. These are basic to keep inflammatory processes under control or non-existent, and our hormones well balanced. When the fat balance is not adequate, hormonal systems get unbalanced as well, and chronic inflammatory processes start building up.
Good nutrition keeps you young and beautiful . Omega 3's and 6's also help us in maintaining youth and beauty. These fats keep the membranes of cells in good shape. When cell membranes are healthy, they are firm and supple, like a well pumped balloon. When cell membranes are not receiving the right fats to regenerate properly, they get soft and irregular, and the cells cannot keep their shape. They would be the equivalent of punched balloons.
One very important factor that damage cells membranes, are oxidants, like tobacco smoke, alcohol, some chemicals, burnt fats, and many pollutants. This substances oxidise membrane fats, and therefore the membranes become soft and irregular, and the cell cannot keep the right balance or substances inside and out. They are punched balloons. One of the substances that avoid this damage is vitamin C, because is an antioxidant. There many other antioxidants, like selenium from Brazil nuts, vitamin E from seeds oils, and flavonoids from fruits, specially berries.
Antioxidants also keep enzymes healthy. Enzymes are the molecules that drive our bodies metabolic reactions, therefore we need them to function properly. We need them to produce energy from our food, digest foods properly, produce the right amount of hormones, store nutrients and many other functions.
These are only some of the benefits of a good nutrition, and just a few examples. If you eat the perfect foods for you, you will feel full of energy, minimize illnesses, think clearly, be focused and have therefore all the tools to live to your full potential. The right nutrition for you is therefore the most easy, amazing and delicious way to maintain health and be a happy and fulfilled human being.

Create an environmentally concious home
The way we live in our homes determines how we use energy, how much waste we produce, how much water we consume, how many chemicals we use, how intense our pesticide input is and the degree of land consumption. Even if we do not see and understand all interconnections, we all contribute every day to the worldwide environmental degradation.
This article will show you that there a many possibilities to minimize your impact on the environment in your home without losing your quality of life. Everyone experiences quality of life in a particular way. But what connects all of us are the essential benefits of clear air and clean water, tranquility and nature. This are the most precious goods, that our wonderful earth is offering us daily for free, and they are at risk. The relationship between human development and Nature's adaptation ability and buffering capacity is out of balance. There is no doubt that serious issues need to be managed urgently on a global scale, but the importance of everyone's participation should not be underestimated. Furthermore, only few people are aware of the potential health threats in products and materials found in our houses. I had several patients with “inexplicable” symptoms like allergies, asthma, depression, headache and tiredness, most of them associated with a low immune system. In many cases the source of their conditions was in their houses due to the overuse of chemicals, pesticides, outgassing chemical additives from building materials, adhesives and binders. Another important health threat in a house is mold, due to increased insulation and tighter construction with decreased ventilation, as well as new building materials and new products.
Chemicals are another invisible enemy in our house and garden. The use of insecticides, herbicides and fungicides is very extensive in Australian households and participates actively to the ongoing health problems of thousands of residents and at the same time to the decreasing quality of our air, soil and water. Due to the different exposure and body constitution, the health effects may be different in each person, the symptoms may be hardly comparable. In most of my cases though, the patients showed a high degree of stored toxins in their body's systems, which provoked over a prolonged time several types of illnesses. Due to the long-term effect of many chemicals, I am speaking here about years or even decades, tracking of the causes is extremely difficult. Therefore prevention is our best tool. This article will help you and your family to live more environmentally conscious and healthy and furthermore will help you to avoid and prevent unnecessary exposure to unhealthy products and materials.
Wildlife habitant fragmentation
Almost 85 % of the Australian population lives in cities in a narrow band on the costal areas. Most of the houses in Australia are besides freestanding houses, i.e. in Brisbane up to 90 %. The consequence of it is that our towns are spreading over huge areas, creating an immense urban sprawl. This leads inevitably to wildlife habitat fragmentation, which means, it breaks up large areas of habitat into small, unconnected "islands" Habitats. These habitat fragments are often too small to support viable populations of many plant and animal species. The consequence is the lost of native species. For the cities population it is wonderful to have access to hundreds of nice and tidy parks, easy to walk through in less than one hour, perfect to catch fresh air. For the remaining native habitats it is getting more and more difficult to survive in this fragmented and extremely vulnerable environments. Even when there is enough food available, small isolated animal populations can decline as a result of genetic isolation. To avoid the negative effects of further urban sprawl I recommend the following actions:
Live in a home that is no larger than you really need.
To help maintain local biodiversity, choose a home with a smaller yard and a surrounding natural habitat that has been left largely intact. Plant only local and not imported plants.
Connect areas. Create corridors or stepping stones to connect isolated areas with each other. A field pond, for example, might be connected to a woodland by a hedgerow. One large nature reserve is better than several small nature reserves that together would cover the same area.
Water
Australia is the driest continent on Earth (excluding Antarctica), but we are the greatest consumers of water per capita. Australians use more than 1 million liters of fresh-water per person each year. About 12% of this comes from domestic use. In Brisbane the average family uses 700 L per day. There are many different ways to conserve and recycle water. The classical way is gathering the rain water and storing in tanks. Thereby the roof gutters need to be kept clean of animal/bird excrement - and the roof should be allowed to "wash itself" at the start of the rain period before collection begins by moving the entry pipe going into the tank. This will also wash off any other contaminants such as herbicides, dust, etc that may have "blown in." If your house is already supplied with town water, you can install a rainwater harvesting systems which collect rain from the roof in a tank. This water can be used for all toilets. This can save up to 40% of your water needs. Another possibility is to create a additional grey water recycling system. 'Grey water' is water that has been used in the washing machine, dishwasher, sink or in the shower. Instead of going down the drain after use, it can be used for irrigating the garden and fill the pond. Very efficient solutions can be achieved by recycling the sewerage and grey-water together through an EPA approved worm-farm system. This water can also be used for irrigation of the garden. Independently from the supply situation, I recommend some efficiency points to consider like:
- Use a short shower and you'll save time, money and water.
- Repair your dripping taps. In only some hours you loose with a dripping tap enough to fill a bath!
- Don't let the tap keep running when you are cleaning your teeth, with this you save 40 L per day already.
- Toilets are one of the largest users of water in the home. Install a dual flush cistern and use the shorter flush whenever possible, you will save 80 L per day.
- Get used to use the plug when you're washing up.
- Rinse your razor in a plugged sink and turn off the tap when shaving - you could save more than 3500 litres per year.
- Mulch your garden to cut evaporation loss by up to 70% and help to prevent weeds
- Water longer, but less often, to encourage deeper roots and general hardiness of plants
Waste
Every household in Australia generates approximately 1,5 tones of waste each year. For every tone of waste we produce at home, 5 tones are created manufacturing the products we consume. In many cases ten tones of raw materials result in just one tone of finished products. This shows how important is selective shopping to diminish the huge energy and land consumption needed to maintain our life quality. Walking through your house you will find also hazardous materials or products you and your family use every day like cleaners, paints, paint thinners, motor oils, gasoline, and pesticides. This hazardous materials are dangerous for people during their use and even when stored, and for the environment. Meanwhile there are many available alternative and non-toxic products for all purposes. Ask in the shops for environmentally friendly products and avoid chemicals whenever possible. Even in toiletries there are health and environment damaging products. Choose organic and non-petrochemical derived products. There are many opportunities to use our waste more wisely. The three Rs point us in the right direction: R educe; R euse and R ecycle. Further tips are:
- Reduce the amount of packaging you buy, reuse what you can, and recycle the rest.
- Look for products without packaging - tools, fresh produce, dry goods. PVC packing can be carcinogenic.
- Avoid individually wrapped portions (cheese slices, juice, etc.).
- Favor environmentally friendly products even if they cost a little more. You will save on health bills.
- Choose rechargeable batteries and long-life bulbs.
- Avoid disposable razors, pens, pencils and lighters.
- Choose long-lasting metal or wood toys rather than plastic.
- Buy recycled paper bathroom tissue, napkins and kitchen towels. Use fabric napkins instead of paper ones.
- Buy quality products and keep them for a lifetime.
- Use reusable containers for lunch and leftovers. Please don't buy the antibacterial plastic containers, they will damage your health!
- Make an all-purpose cleaner: 1 gallon hot water, 1/4 cup ammonia, 1/4 cup vinegar & 1 tablespoon baking soda. Safe on most surfaces, rinses off with water.
- Use hot vinegar instead of paint thinner on brushes.
- Prepare a simple furniture polish with either lemon oil and beeswax, beeswax and olive oil, or mix 2 teaspoons lemon oil with one pint mineral oil in a spray bottle.
- Use baking soda to clean sinks, toilet bowls and showers without harsh chemicals. Also, only a box will be left instead of plastic bottles.
- Clean windows and mirrors with a simple solution of 3 tablespoons of white vinegar and two cups of warm water in a spray bottle. Apply with wadded up newspaper. Or use an environmentally friendly window cleaning cloth. You will not need cleaners, just warm water.
- When spring cleaning or moving, have a yard sale or donate items to charities instead of throwing them away.
Energy
It has been estimated that in 11 % of total energy is used in our homes and 38% in transport. Home heating and cooling use approximately 40 to 50 % of household energy in Australia. In warmer climates like in Queensland the largest amount of energy is used for heating water. In consideration of the amount of sunny days in Australia solar water heating should be largely widespread. When I visited for the first time Greece in 1994 I saw a huge amount of solar water heaters, almost on every roof. Until today this simple technology couldn't achieve a high acceptance in Australia, despite of the very favorable weather conditions. Depending on the climatic conditions the design of a house should be planned in such a way that you benefit from shaded indoor and outdoor living areas during hot weather periods and vice versa when the weather is cold. A huge effect can be reached with a properly positioned, sized and protected glazing.
To save energy you have to check if your appliances work energy-efficient. Upgrading them will pay for themselves over time and contribute to a cleaner environment. Water pumping of water is also very energy consuming. You save considerable energy if you place a new house below the water source so that gravity can be used to move the water. It is better to run an electrical water pump once daily rather than intermittently as the pump uses considerable power each time it starts. Just a few small changes in your household routines can add up over the year to big savings on your utility bills. Here are some examples:
- Air conditioning:
One of the most effective and inexpensive ways to reduce your air conditioning costs is to adjust your thermostat setting. By using ceiling fans to supplement and air conditioner, most people can raise their thermostat setting three degrees and feel just as comfortable. When you leave home, turn off the air conditioning or set the thermostat up a few degrees. Keep doors and windows closed when air conditioning is on. Turn off kitchen or bathroom exhaust fans when your air conditioning is on. Use ceiling fans only in occupied rooms since fans cool people, not rooms. Make sure your home is properly insulated. In existing homes, wall insulation may be too expensive to install, so concentrate on attic and floor insulation. |
- Washing:
Wash full loads whenever possible. When smaller loads are necessary, remember to adjust the water level accordingly.
Use cold water (70 F to 80 F) for most clothes and for rinsing.
Use the short wash cycle for lightly soiled garments.
- Refrigeration:
The coils of your refrigerator should be clean, not clogged with dirt.
If you can feel cold air around the closed door or there is a great deal of moisture collecting at certain spots around the door, your refrigerator is costing more than it should to operate.
If your refrigerator temperature is set too low, your operating costs will increase. Refrigerator temperature should be 35 to 42 degrees Fahrenheit. Freezers should be zero.
The more often you open the refrigerator door, the higher the operating costs will be.
Putting a second refrigerator in a hot garage or utility room can double operating costs. If you need the extra storage, keep it as full as possible. If you don't need the space, you might want to "pull the plug."
Making an environmentally conscious housing decision will not only help reduce your consumption of energy and natural resources, but will also lower your maintenance and energy bills. In almost every house there are improvements possible. In most of the cases the changes are financially interesting because they may pay for themselves in quite a short time. If you are looking for a new home then consider consulting an expert on this field. Building an environmentally friendly and healthy house is still considered as expensive. If you take the right decisions and use a properly adapted design, then you will save from day one. The type of house you live in is one of the most important decisions you can make as a consumer.

New: Secrets to beat depression eating!
Scientists found that food can affect our mental health and determine our happiness. You can get rid of depression by eating better and yummy!
“Over 800,000 Australian adults have a depressive disorder […] and those Australians are part of over 2 million Australians (10% of the population!) and that roughly an equal number of men and women that have the common mental disorders of anxiety and depression or associated alcohol or substance abuse - big numbers”.
What you have just read is part of the talk that Dr. Ian Hickie, Professor of Psychiatry and Executive Director of the Brain and Mind Research Institute at the University of Sydney, gave at the Australian National University the 16th October 2003. Numbers have not changed since. Dr. Hickie defines these mental disorders as “disability disorders”. Adding to the feeling of hopelessness, lack of self-esteem, goals or direction in life, enjoyment, fulfillment, happiness, etc, is that mental disorders are, besides, socially stigmatized, and thus hidden. Did you know that when going to the States one of the questions in Customs questionnaire is “Are you a criminal or have a record of mental disorders?”. No comments on that.
The standard therapies for mental disorders are drugs that inhibit neurotransmitters break down or strengthen their effects. As an example, NIMH USA recommends for depression and bipolar disorders: “[..] a variety of antidepressant medications and psychotherapies that can be used to treat depressive disorders” (NIMH webpage, May 2006). No mention is done to nutrition and physical activity.
Lately, and finally, scientists are busy demonstrating the effects of different foods on moods and mental health. Alternative medicine has since long worked with the premise that our body is a whole system, therefore mental health is just a reflection of our general physical and spiritual health, and all three parts of the being are intricately interconnected. Conditions like depression, anxiety, ADD and ADHD, PMS, schizophrenia, addictions, and neurological degenerative diseases have been related in alternative therapies classically to nutritional deficiencies, lately also to allergies and environmental and food toxicity.
So, what are scientists findings?
The relationship between food components and mental health conditions has been tested in laboratory animals with positive results. According to ABC News reported on February the 10 th , 2005, nutrients such as omega-3 fatty acids warded off depression in rats. The study was conducted at the Harvard-affiliated McLean Hospital in Belmont, Mass.
Some worried researchers from the same institution write that unexplainable negative trends in modern neuropsychiatric and chronic diseases become explainable when the food production system is considered in the study. In their opinion, “new agricultural techniques may increase or exacerbate neuropsychiatric disorders through nutritional modification”.
Other research teams have centred their attention on the relationship between nutrition and mental health in women and men with chronic conditions. In a study conducted with 714 breast cancer survivors to assess diet and quality of life it was found that women with excellent diet quality had significantly better results than women with poor diet quality for overall mental health functioning. There were also significant improvements in their body state, but curiously enough, results were even better in respect to happiness and mind wellbeing. In a study centred in men's health and cholesterol done in Japan, findings interestingly indicate that moderate (but not very low) cholesterol levels may protect mental health in human males.
One study found recently that social aggression and the types of oils consumed are probably related. In the study, homicide rates in 5 Western countries were compared, amongst them Australia. The authors suggest that it would be worth to investigate if low linoleic acid diets may prevent behavioural maladies that correctional institutions, social service programs, and mental health providers intend to treat.
Our own observations in the clinic have been astounding in relation to depression. We have had amazing results when treating patients with our new Food Detox and Weight Loss remedies. In 2 cases clients that also had depression reported that “the dark cloud over the head” disappeared in seconds after the first dose, leading to a relieved happiness. In both cases there was an allergy to food as the cause of the depression. Draw your own conclusions.
So, all this studies are proving that all this bunch of eccentrics advertising enthusiastically that a nutrition based on eating fresh vegetables and fruits – as opposed to frozen, canned, prepared or manufactured- are right! The best nutrition for the mind then is one that is supporting to the brain functions, and that is one full of vitamins and minerals in its natural forms, with good oils, many saturated, yes, those found in coconut, unprocessed raw seeds and nuts, and in oily fish if you are a met-eater, and with enough proteins to support the renewal of your body and mind systems, like that found also in green and naturally pigmented foods, and if need be, in algae like Spirulina or Dunaliella.
I will side with your Mum this time and say “Eat your veggies!”. And I would add, raw if possible, with your nuts and seeds!

Read how to eliminate stress in minutes!
Eliminating fear, stress, anxiety, panic attacks, stress, trauma, guilt, any anger, loss weight, stop smoking in minutes. It is a powerful therapy with a impressive success rate.
It has also proven effective in the treatment of some physical conditions such as headaches and back pain. Discovered and developed by Dr. Roger Callahan, a Californian clinical psychologist with over 40 years of experience, TFT is a unique form of meridian therapy. It is best described as a natural, drug-free, non-invasive system to eliminate the cause of negative emotions. Callahan (1997) states that he accidentally discovered TFT while treating a client named Mary, who had a severe fear of water. Inspired by an acupuncture class he was taking at the time, Callahan instructed Mary to firmly tap the area under her eye with her fingers, leading to a miraculous and immediate resolution of Mary's phobia. Callahan subsequently developed the comprehensive set of techniques that combines elements of acupuncture, Chinese medicine, applied Kinesiology, Cognitive Therapy and psychoanalysis.
The therapy is based on the idea that invisible energy fields called "thought fields" exist within the body (Callahan 1997). Environmental traumas and inherited predispositions are theorized to cause blockages, or what Callahan terms "perturbations," in the flow of energy in these thought fields. Callahan theorizes that the commonly observed neurochemical, behavioral, and cognitive indicators of disorders such as depression are the result of these perturbations. In other words, the root cause of all psychological problems are blockages in energy fields.
In order to correct these perturbations, clients are directed by the TFT therapist to tap on the body's "energy meridians" in specific sequences, called "algorithms," which vary based on the particular problem being treated (Callahan 1997). For example, the client may be instructed to tap at the corner of the eyebrow five times and then continue tapping on other parts of the body in a specific sequence as instructed by the therapist. In addition, the clients are told to roll their eyes, count, and hum a few bars of a song at various points during the treatment. Callahan states that when the thought field is "attuned," that is, when the person is thinking about the distressing event or image, perturbations are able to be located and corrected. The tapping is theorized to add energy to the system, which then re-balances the overall energy flow, thereby eliminating the distress at the source.
Most research has been in the area of first hand clinical observation and the personal reports coming from therapists and clients have been impressive. Most individuals experience significant, usually complete, relief from their problem within a few minutes. Callahan reports a success rate of up to 98 %, if the treatment is undertaken by a trained therapist. There are not many other treatment methods presently available, conventional, complementary nor alternative, that can claim the same success, speed and completeness.
Formal investigation, conducted in early 1995, by Charles R. Figley, Ph.D. and Joyce Carbonell, Ph.D. of the Psychological Stress Research Program and Clinical Laboratory at Florida State University yielded impressive results in the treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. A double blind study undertaken in 1996 by Dr. Joyce Carbonell of Florida State University using TFT and a placebo treatment to treat fear of heights confirmed the effectiveness of TFT treatments. Probably the most important research article published in The Journal of Clinical Psychology is an article written by Dr. Carl Johnson, et. al. "Soothing the Bad Moments of Kosovo." The author reports that of 249 traumas treated in Kosovo, 247 were treated successfully in a short period of time. After several visits to Kosovo, Dr. Skkelzen Syla, the equivalent to the surgeon general of Kosovo has made TFT the official therapy of Kosovo.

EMFs - the invisible danger
Do you supervise your baby electronically with baby phone? Do you frequently use a mobile telephone and wireless local area network? Do you have many electrical appliances in your household? Do you have frequently headache, allergies, sleeplessness? Are you depressed or often exhausted? Then pay attention to your environment and to possible sources of EMFs.
Our environment is filled with invisible natural and non-natural electric and magnetic fields. The man-made electric and magnetic fields (EMFs) have been until recently largely ignored. A growing volume of research has heightened public awareness of the problem that EMFs may be negatively impacting the health and well-being of millions of people. EMFs have in common that they are all created by electrical devises in our houses, such as hair dryers, digital alarm clocks, toasters, coffee makers, TVs, or computers. The more you use these devices and the closer you are to them, the higher is your exposure to EMFs. EMFs behave differently however, in respect to other characteristics. As soon as your electrical device is plugged in, it is surrounded by an electrical field, even when switched off. In contrast, magnetic fields are only created when your device is switched on. In other words, magnetic fields are only present when electric current flows and the bigger the current the stronger the magnetic field. Furthermore electric and magnetic fields behave differently in relation to building materials. Fortunately most of the building materials shield electric fields to some extent however, magnetic fields are not attenuated by currently used materials. That means that your house is not shielding you against the magnetic fields of for instances, a high voltage transmission line. The only solution to escape these big magnetic fields, which can extent hundreds of meters, is to maintain a reasonable distance.
Man-made EMFs emanate from whatever conducts or uses electricity, such as appliances, wiring, distribution lines under homes and along streets and highways, railroad cars on electrified lines, and high-tension power lines. Our proximity to electricity exposes us to electrical fields twenty four hours per day. Only if you live far from a city with no electricity at all, like a hermit, you would be unaffected.
How dangerous is electromagnetic pollution for us?
The effects of electromagnetic pollution on our health is currently discussed controversially. From the point of view of a Geomancer, electromagnetic pollution causes bad chi (“sha chi”) in our environment, resulting in disharmony and energetic chaos. We are already exposed to various sources of discordant chi like geopathic stress, noises, strong winds, harmful chemicals and finally EMFs. The latter are a relatively new danger and we do not yet have any long term experience on their effects. More than ever we are permanently bombarded by invisible electromagnetic forces covering our surroundings like a fog with daily increasing density.
These electromagnetic forces have an effect on everything, from plant growth to our health and probably even the weather. Numerous epidemiological studies were done to investigate its biological effects. At first it was believed that man made sources like electricity, microwaves and radiofrequency, cannot influence our biological system. Electrical devices generally produce extremely low frequency (ELF) fields with frequencies up to 300 Hz. Other technologies produce intermediate frequency (IF) fields (300 Hz – 10 MHz) and radiofrequency (RF) fields (10 MHZ – 300 GHz). All these sources were considered as non-ionizing and unable to break chemical bonds. Several epidemiological studies have shown however, that these strong and multidirectional EMFs can disrupt normal cell polarity, and blood functions. This is because our complex body contains about 70% water, and our cells even consist of 97% water and about 3% salt, a solution that is able to conduct electricity. We are in fact an electrical system because all body functions and responses are controlled by bio-electromagnetic waves from the brain, and all our cells and tissues generate EMFs. Only in a natural and EMF free environment our bio-electrical system can work without influence and we are able to self-regulate and heal our vital bodily functions in an efficient way. The majority of the epidemiological studies on health effects of EMFs exposure have focused on the incidence of cancer. Much more likely is that the exposure to EMFs may act as a continuous immune-system stressor which can lead to a number of health problems, depending on the individual's health and genetic predisposition. Everyone of us reacts differently due to our health state and sensitivity. People with high electrical s ensitivity and/or electromagnetic hypersensitivity can experience numerous symptoms like nausea, dizziness, headaches, irritability, depression, anxiety, slow or fast heartbeat rate, altered sugar metabolism, immune abnormalities, hair loss, pain in the teeth, deteriorating fillings, impaired sense of smell, or ringing in the ears.
More and more people living close to high voltage power lines show strong symptoms and even life-threatening illnesses. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency publicly acknowledged in their report "Evaluation of the Potential Carcinogenicity of EMFs" that electromagnetic pollution is a serious threat to health. The report reviewed studies that had been completed prior to 1990 including six residential studies of children and adults' over thirty studies of workers in electrical occupations, two studies of the relationship between children's cancer rates and their father's EMF exposures, as well as hundreds of laboratory studies.
What we can do?
Although we should be concerned about the potential risks of harmful EMFs, we can work on our environment to improve our life quality. Take a look around your home or office and you will find several possibilities to minimise your exposure to EMFs. The following list shows what you can do:
Check your environment with a Gauss meter (a meter designed to detect electromagnetic energy fields) to determine the places with EMFs in your immediate environment, as well as which sources generate the strongest fields.
Avoid electric blankets or sleeping on a heated waterbed . During night we should be able to recover and relax. This products generate a constant stream of electromagnetic energy that quietly charges your body for hours during night time. If you use an electric blanket, at least turn it off before you go to sleep (EPA recommendation).
Remove Electric Clocks and radios away from your bed. Leave them at least three feet away from your bed, desk, chair or from anywhere else you spend a great deal of time. Even digital clocks should be kept at least 30 cm away.
Sit as far as possible from your television . The bigger the screen, the further away you should sit. Try to maintain a distance over 3 m away from the screen.
Avoid microwave ovens. When you have to use it, move about 3 metres away or leave the room. Although this report does not cover nutritional issues, consider that microwaves alter your food and additionally compromise your immune system. When the food is ready, take it out of the oven and leave to stand for 2-3 minutes to reduce free radicals in the food.
Unplug all your electronic devices after using.
Avoid using cordless electronic devices , such as electric toothbrushes, cordless phones (especially digital ones) and razors, all of which use magnetic induction to charge the battery. Such devices create large magnetic fields.
Electromagnetic energy can pass effortlessly through walls , so avoid setting up something on one side of a wall thinking it won't effect you or anyone on the other side. Stay several metres away, depending on how strong a field the item in question produces.
Rearrange your office so that you and others are not exposed to EMFs from the backs and sides of video display monitors. In addition, you can minimise your exposure by sitting at least an arms length from your monitor. Get rid of dimmers and three-way electrical switches altogether. They emit especially strong EMFs.
Use your cell/mobile phone only with a hand free set/head set. Or better, try to “survive” without your cell/mobile phone. Don't use the Blue Tooth variety and only make short calls. Do not carry the phone on your body. Avoid cordless phones.
Use crystals to harmonize your energetic field . Crystals have been found to be powerful tools to harmonize EMFs. Place a Unakite or Rose Quartz on or near your television or computer screen, or use Amazonite, Fluorite, Yellow Kunzite, Smoky Quartz or Black Tourmaline to neutralise the radiation of microwaves. If you are working a lot on your computer, then wearing Amazonite, Fluorite, Herkimer Diamond, Jasper (Brown), Kunzite (Yellow), Lepidolite, Malachite, Smoky Quartz Elestial, Sodalite, Tourmaline (Black) or Turquoise will help you. It is best not to wear more than two crystals at any one time if you have little experience with their use.
Protect yourself with quality Bio-Energy Devices. Some devices emit a subtle energy frequency which can metaphysically neutralise harmful energies and/or balance a person's own bio-energy field. By expanding (strengthening) your bio-energy field and infusing it with life-energy, the energy level in and around the body increases, which enables you to ground and purify negative, unbalanced and chaotic energies, such as EMFs more effectively. The common factor in all these devices is that they do not remove the physically measured fields. Before buying this products you should test them (e.g. dowsing or muscle testing).
Applying these practical suggestions will help you to minimise your exposure to harmful EMFs. Be aware of what is happening in your environment and avoid unnecessary exposure. Although there is in fact no scientific proof about the positive effects of crystals and Bio-Energy Devices available, many sensitive people notice their positive effects immediately and many others experience significant improvement of long-standing health problems already after a short period of time. There are still many things on this miraculous world that we cannot explain scientifically, but this doesn't proof that they do not exist.
If you still have doubts, or are planning to build a house, it is always worth while to contact an experienced Geomancer or a Building Biologist, as your home is your heaven and it should be a place where you can recover fully and regain your strength.

Key Signs/Symptoms
- lethargy or fatigue
- headache, dizziness, nausea
- irritation of mucous membranes
- sensitivity to odours
Diagnostic Leads
Are problems temporally related to time spent in a particular building or part of a building?
- Do symptoms resolve when the individual is not in the building?
- Do symptoms recur seasonally (heating, cooling)? Have co-workers, peers noted similar complaints?
Remedial Action
Appropriate persons — employer, building owner or manager, building investigation specialist, if necessary state and local government agency medical epidemiologists and other public health officials — should undertake investigation and analysis of the implicated building, particularly the design and operation of HVAC systems, and correct contributing conditions. Persistence on the part of individual(s) and health care consultant(s) may be required to diagnose and remediate the building problems.
Comment
The term “sick building syndrome” (SBS), first employed in the 1970s, describes a situation in which reported symptoms among a population of building occupants can be temporally associated with their presence in that building. Typically, though not always, the structure is an office building. Generally, a spectrum of specific and non-specific complaints are involved. Typical complaints, in addition to the signs and symptoms already listed, may also include eye and/or nasopharyngeal irritation, rhinitis or nasal congestion, inability to concentrate, and general malaise-complaints suggestive of a host of common ailments, some ubiquitous and easily communicable. The key factors are commonality of symptoms and absence of symptoms among building occupants when the individuals are not in the building. Sick building syndrome should be suspected when a substantial proportion of those spending extended time in a building (as in daily employment) report or experience acute on-site discomfort. If is important, however, to distinguish SBS from problems of building related illness. The latter term is reserved for situations in which signs and symptoms of diagnosable illness are identified and can be attributed directly to specific airborne building contaminants. Legionnaires' Disease and hypersensitivity pneumonitis, for example, are building related illnesses. There has been extensive speculation about the cause or causes of SBS. Poor design, maintenance, and/or operation of the structure's ventilation system may be at fault (55) . The ventilation system itself can be a source of irritants. Interior redesign, such as the rearrangement of offices or installation of partitions, may also interfere with efficient functioning of such systems. Another theory suggests that very low levels of specific pollutants, including some discussed in the preceding pages, may be present and may act synergistically, or at least in combination, to cause health effects. Humidity may also be a factor: while high relative humility may contribute to biological pollutant problems, an unusually low level — below 20 or 30 percent - may heighten the effects of mucosal irritants and may even prove irritating itself. Other contributing elements may include poor lighting and adverse ergonomic conditions, temperature extremes, noise, and psychological stresses that may have both individual and interpersonal impact.
The prevalence of the problem is unknown. A 1984 World Health Organization report suggested that as many as 30 percent of new and remodelled buildings worldwide may generate excessive complaints related to indoor air quality (56) . In a nationwide, random sampling of U.S. office workers, 24 percent perceived air quality problems in their work environments, and 20 percent believed their work performance was hampered thereby (57) . When SBS is suspected, the individual physician or other health care provider may need to join forces with others (e.g., clinicians consulted by an individual's co-workers, as well as industrial hygienists and public health officials) to adequately investigate the problem and develop appropriate solutions.

(55) A professional group, the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-conditioning
Engineers (ASHRAE), has established standards of ventilation for
the achievement of acceptable indoor air quality. These criteria do not have the force of law, are typically invoked only for new or renovated construction, and even when met do not assure comfortable and healthy air quality under all conditions and in all circumstances. Indoor air pollution can make you sick
Have you ever thought about that your house can make you sick? Indoor air pollution is an underestimated problem and can cause numerous illnesses. This article gives you an overview and shows you possibilities to improve your house or office.
You are reading right, there is not only outdoor pollution, indoor pollution can be even worst because of restricted ventilation inside houses. According to the American Medical Association, 50% of all illnesses are caused or aggravated by polluted indoor air. Indoor pollution is caused by sources such as building materials, furnishings and household products like air fresheners, all of which may release pollutants especially solvents, sometime over decades. Other sources related to some activities like painting carried out at home, release pollutants intermittently. These include smoking, the use of non vented or malfunctioning stoves, furnaces, or space heaters, the use of solvents in cleaning and hobby activities, the use of paint strippers in redecorating activities, and the use of cleaning products and pesticides in house-keeping. High pollutant concentrations can remain in the air for long periods after some of these activities were performed. Immediate health effects may show up after a single exposure or after repeated exposures. These include irritation of the eyes, nose, and throat, headaches, dizziness, and fatigue. Such immediate effects are usually short-term and treatable. Sometimes the treatment is simply eliminating the person's exposure to the source of the pollution, if it can be identified. Symptoms of some diseases, including asthma, hypersensitivity pneumonitis, and humidifier fever may also show up soon after exposure to some indoor air pollutants. Long term exposure can lead to Sick Building Syndrome (SBS). SBS consists of a group of non-specific symptoms, which according to a World Health Organisation (WHO) definition can include any of the following: Eye, nose or throat irritation; A sensation of dry mucous membranes; Dry skin, rash; Mental fatigue; Headaches; nausea; Dizziness; Coughing; Hoarseness; Wheezing; Itching and unspecific hypersensitivity reactions.
The first recommendation is ventilate your house daily for at least 15 minutes to renew the air inside the house. Besides, when you are using materials with solvents, or that smell very strong, make sure you ventilate your house on a regular basis until the smell is not noticeable anymore. In any case, to be on the safe side, the best is to avoid the use of toxic materials inside your house. There are now available on the market many cleaning products that do not contain harmful substances. You can find them in health food stores and in some supermarkets.

Love's hidden orders - Carrying burdens of our family
Can the love for our family make us sick and hold us back in our lives? How come that children seldom dare to live a happier and more fulfilling life than their parents? How come that we often repeat certain behaviour patterns of our parents and grandparents that keep us stuck in our relationships and our life, make us sick, and prevent success?
One of the most respected family therapists in the world today, Bert Hellinger, has cast light on these questions by illuminating the hidden loyalties and orders within family systems. He and his many successors observed over the last 25 years of the development of the systemic psychotherapy that out of love, we unconsciously reproduce the life of one of our suffering or forgotten family members. We do not fully live our own lives, but in part, someone else's. Just like any other system, the family system has its own order and when that order is disrupted, the effects are felt by subsequent generations as the system tries to right itself. There appear to be certain natural laws operating to maintain that order and permit the free flow of love between family members.
Systemic therapists uncover these hidden family structures in a workshop that Bert Hellinger has called the family constellation workshop. In these workshops we literally see the dynamics and enmeshments that we are holding inside and that we are unconsciously following. Seeing and accepting the system as it is, is the beginning of shifting the perspective and energy field of the system. This “movement of the soul” often initiates the healing of long-lasting depressions, anxieties, blockages, and the resulting physical diseases. The constellation is done only once for a particular family member or problem and then a healing movement can start operating.
Recent development has also brought systemic constellation workshops into the realm of the business world in the form of “organisational constellations”. The systemic therapy basing on constellation work is the most rapidly expanding form of family therapy in Germany, and is found in more than 25 countries worldwide.

Vibrational Healing - The New Frontier in Alternative Medicine - Part I
Vibrational healing is the ancient and modern way of healing. During the last 25 years there have been many interesting developments in the field of Vibrational Healing. There is no doubt, thousands of scientific abstracts document the healing effects of Vibrational Healing worldwide.
As energy beings we are highly susceptible to energies. Each cell, organ, emotion or thought creates a separate vibration in the human body; each colour or sound carries its own vibration. Quantum physics and experiments in high-energy particle physics have shown that, at the particle level, all matter is really energy. Even allopathic medicine is starting to admit that energy or vibrations are affecting us, and that it can be used for healing purposes. Vibrational healing attempts to treat people with pure energy, without the use of drugs or physical manipulations of the body.
It is a process whereby vibrations are introduced or transferred into our physical and energetic bodies. Vibrational healing is based on the belief that all illness is a result of an imbalance that originates on deep mental and emotional planes and upon the homeopathy concept of “like cures like”. In contrast to the orthodox medical world, the approach of vibrational healing is to neutralize these imbalances and to strengthen the immune system at the same time. As a result, the health problem usually dissolves at a deep and complete level.
Vibrational Healing has a long tradition
Among the different disciplines in Vibrational Healing the Chinese Qi Healing has one of the longest histories and encompasses the most time-tested personal training methods by which the healer can systematically increase the sensitivity and power of treatment. Homeopathy developed by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann in the eighteenth century is probably the best known and most discussed Vibrational Healing technique in the western world. But there are many more techniques to mention, such as Reiki, Electromagnetic Healing Devices, Crystal Therapy, Light and Sound Therapies, natural plant essences like Love Remedies or Bach Remedies and Aromatherapy.
New approaches for Vibrational Healing
During the last 25 years a number of new meridian/acupoint-based electronic systems and Radionic systems have been developed and applied in England and Germany. These devices are based upon the Biological Resonance and the Holographic Principle. I came in contact with the first devices in 1990 in Germany. As an orthodox thinking civil engineer I thought at fist “this is nonsense”. But very soon I started to change my mind, seeing the extreme positive effects on treated patients, animals and plants. Then I started to work with a Bio-Energy emitter and started to realize that I am dealing with a new physical, biological, medical and spiritual science. Beside my normal work I started to conduct numerous experiments, with very interesting results. It worked extremely well with all types of pain; for example head ache or menstrual pain disappeared sometimes in minutes. Sometimes the healing process occurred on an extremely subtle way. So subtle that some patients even forgot about their problems. And it worked also with patients who didn't believe at all in these devices. But after days they had to admit that something changed. It was nice to see how gentle and subtle these changes occurred, there was no sign of strong healing reactions we know from homeopathy, that scares so many patients.
This picture shows the classical Bio-Energy emitter. Due his success story, this device was produced without changes already 25 years.
The range of applications is almost endless and even treatments through distance are very effective. Meanwhile there are thousands of users worldwide, especially in Germany, England and USA. In the next Newsletter edition I will explain a bit more about the proceeding and different applications.

Report Finds Half of Breast Cancer Causes May Be Environmental
Breast cancer rates have been climbing steadily in the United States and other industrialized countries since the 1940s, amounting to more than one million cases per year worldwide.
“State of the Evidence 2006: What Is the Connection Between the Environment and Breast Cancer?” reports that as many as 50 percent of breast cancer cases remain unexplained by either genetics or lifestyle factors. Instead, the report says, “compelling scientific evidence points to some of the 100,000 synthetic chemicals in use today as contributing to the development of breast cancer, either by altering hormone function or gene expression.” The report also identifies radiation exposure, such as that from X-rays and CT scans, as the “longest-established environmental cause of breast cancer.”
“State of the Evidence 2006,” reviews and analyses nearly 350 scientific studies on environmental links to breast cancer. The report was peer-reviewed by leading scientists at the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute, Tufts University School of Medicine, and other research institutions.
Among the research findings reported in the 2006 edition:
• Genetic susceptibility makes only a “small to moderate contribution” to the incidence of breast cancer, according to a re-analysis of a large Scandinavian study originally published in 2000;
• An interdisciplinary analysis of the history of hormone replacement therapy revealed that scientists were aware of its breast cancer risk as early as the 1930s.
• Researchers working in Iowa and North Carolina found an increased risk of breast cancer among the wives of farmers who used certain chlorinated pesticides and among those living closest to areas of pesticide application.
• There is no safe dose of ionizing radiation. Even the smallest dose has the potential to cause an increased cancer risk in humans, according to a report from the National Research Council; and the new report offers a 10-point plan to reduce the risk of breast cancer.

Vibrational Medicine-A new approach
Illness and its physical symptoms are normally treated like an enemy, poisoned, radiated and removed. But every illness is a part of our path. We have the choice to understand the message behind it and to solve the disharmonies on a spiritual, emotional and finally physical level.
Everyone of us has been ill some time in our life. As children we suffered from a cold, had a toothache, we had our children's diseases like mumps or had German measles. A child becomes resistant after going through an illness and also grows on it. Not only children but also adults grow with each illness, depending on our ongoing life topics. Unfortunately most Western medical approaches do not recognize the lesson behind an illness, rather they treat it like an enemy, like a local defect in our body. This local defect then is poisoned, radiated and removed. This orthodox medical approach is thereby independent of the symptoms' causes. On the other hand, the alternative approach considers the illness as a result of ongoing emotional disharmonies which are reflected in the physical body. Any feeling manifests itself in our body; our body is virtually the mirror of our soul. Vibrational Medicine is based on this approach and is additionally recognizing that our body is the best healer and needs therefore be supported and strengthened. Vibrational Medicine provides furthermore information to our immune system and essential organs to detoxify and optimize the body functions. Illnesses are always messages helping us to understand the deeper purpose in our earthly-life. The more intensively we work on and with this message, the more we try to understand the deeper meaning and take the right actions for our life path, the quicker we are able to regain our physical, emotional and spiritual health. Vibrational Medicine takes up exactly this principle and integrates it consistently into the treatment of the patient.

Why Vibrational Medicine is so successful ?
We are only believing what we can touch and see. Vibrational Medicine is scientifically not explicable, but nevertheless it works and shows excellent results.
Vibrational Medicine is a holistic treatment which considers mind, body and spirit as an integrated whole, and does not consider that they can be treated as separate. In general Vibrational Medicine is hard for most people to accept because it is based on upon acceptance of the human subtle energetic anatomy. In addition, the ability to radionically transmit healing energy or informational vibrations over great distances is a concept that hardly fits into our materialistic based beliefs. To make the effects of Subtle Energetic Technologies more understandable I would like to introduce some of the following hypotheses:
Every living thing is made of and consumes life energy (chi, prana, orgon, bio-energy).
Quantum Physics shows that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration. Human beings are also vibrating, everyone with his own individual frequency. Our organs, our cells, all physical or mental disorders are vibrating with characteristic frequencies.
There are subtle fields of energy around the physical human body, just beyond normal perception. Any source of illness starts within our body's subtle energy fields, before it manifests in our physical body.
Humans healthy energetic state is always bipolar. Any disturbance of this subtle balance leads to mental or physical disorder.
According to the holographic principle, each piece taken from the hologram contains the information of the whole. From a vibrational and energetic viewpoint this means that a small portion removed from the whole, i.e. a drop of blood removed from the body, reflects the total energetic structure of the entire organism.
Bioresonance: It is based on the fact that two points enter in resonance if they have the same frequency, like two tuning forks with the same tone pitches C and C. If you activate one fork, the other one resonates in an instant. The same happens with our body: If we radiate our body with a certain frequency i.e. “pain in large intestine: 6-6-9-10-4-8” and our large intestine needs this specific vibrational information, then it will resonate with it. In this case, a healthy large intestine wouldn't pick up this informational vibration. Like two tuning forks with different tone pitches C and H. They never resonate with each other.
Water records information. Much like a blank CD.

The daily work with the Medea 7 Bio-Energy Devices
Medea 7 Bio-Energy Devices are easy to use and highly effective. This healing tool is based on over 40 years research. It is currently used by thousands of practitioners and laypeople in Germany.
Fortunately we don't need to understand all the principles about Quantum Physics to apply the Medea 7 Bio-Energy devices. They are very user friendly and everyone can heal with them. Approximately 90 % of the users in Germany are not therapists and are very successfully treating their family and friends. Medea 7 Bio-Energy devices were developed by the German Scientist and Healer Arno Herbert. He started his intense research (based on Wilhelm Reich's discoveries) from 1965 on in Norway and later in Germany he developed for the first time highly effective devices which everyone could use. It took him almost 20 years to develop the classical Bio-Energy-Emitter (original: Orgon Strahler) which was commercialised from 1985 onwards. It is interesting to note that this model has not changed until today due to its excellent performance and popularity. Most therapies can be done with the Bio-Energy-Emitter. The practical work consists of basically the following steps:
1. Definition of the problem/searching for the causes
At first it is very helpful to define the goal of the treatment. This is very similar to other healing modalities. I go a bit further and try to find out which of the symptoms are related to each other and which one is the root symptom.
Sometimes it is favourable to do a complete Vibrational Health Assessment (VHA). A VHA is very helpful to find out the cause of the symptoms. This may be interesting in cases of infection, allergies, negative environments, or to eliminate psychological patterns like self blockages, miasms and other patterns. VHAs are performed by dowsing. Dowsing plays an important role, but it is not essential to work with the Bio-Energy-Devices. But knowing dowsing opens up far more possibilities.
2. Producing and storing of the vibrations
As mentioned above, all matter is vibrating, like i.e. the Australian bush flower One-Sided Bottlebrush. The numerical frequency for this plant is 8,5-8-2-4-4-3-5. That means this rate is as efficient as the vibrations of the original plant! This numerical code represents the original vibration of the healthy plant without any disturbances. With a specific Vibration Generator we are able to store this vibrational rate of this plant in 0,9 % salt-water ampoules. There are actually more than 20.000 vibrations tabulated of plants, crystals, nosodes and illnesses. Furthermore, we can produce the numerical code of everything, like emotions or even affirmations. With this knowledge it is possible to work out personalized rates for everyone and every type of illness. It is possible to use rates to energise organs, or contra rates in cases of bacteria or viruses. We can also choose harmonizing rates in cases of infections, or rates to detoxify in cases of heavy metal contamination. In some cases it may be enough to work with 5 to 10 rates, in other cases we have to work with thousands of them. After producing the specific combination of rates (numerical codes) the rates are stored in 0,9 % salt-water ampoules. One ampoule can store hundreds of rates for years.
3. Treatment
For treatment the vibrations of the ampoule can be used to irradiate directly the patients' body or his picture or hair in case of absence. It is also possible to irradiate the healing information into certain transmitters like water, globules, teas, oils, crystals and so on. Afterwards we can use them internally or externally. In case of teeth problems I sometimes radiate healing rates onto the toothpaste to have the best effect on the teeth. But there are many more possibilities using transmitters like sputum, blood, urine, faeces, parts of the skin, earwax, eye secretion and so on. In cases of blood diseases I choose blood on blood, with or without additional rates. In kidney or bladder related problems I use urine on urine. There is no need to drink urine, one can take advantage of it very effectively with the Bio-Energy-Emitter. In certain cases it is appropriate to radiate our solar plexus, a certain point of the body (i.e. acupuncture point), a certain area of the body (i.e. chakra), or indirectly through blood, urine, hair and photo. I test the most effective combination with a pendulum.
Conclusions
Here it is, the healing method for everyone and a powerful tool for health-practitioners. This is the answer for people who do not accept anymore the high medical costs. Due to the “manual work” involved with these devices I consider them as the missing link between orthodox medicine and psychic or spiritual healing like i.e. Reiki or Qi Healing. Furthermore I prefer these Bio-Energy devices because of the broad possibilities and very personalised applications. It is possible to produce one's own remedies without additional costs. And most important, there is no wrong medication possible. Due to the bipolarity and the bioresonance principle, these devices can never transmit negative energies.
